The 100% cotton set of 2 tea towels has a Green Tree frog embroidered on one and the other is Green & white striped. Size 45x70 cm The Green Tree Frog is an attractive frog and is found mainly in the northern and eastern half of Australia. They can adapt to dry or wet habitats. Often found around dams, wetlands and dripping water tanks. The female grows to 100mm with the male slightly smaller. The frog is mostly bright green with the underside of the thighs varying yellow to maroon. The eye is pale yellow. Fingers and toes are webbed with disc pads that help it grip the underside of leaves. They breathe mainly through their moist skin. It takes about 6 weeks for the egg to develop into the frog. The water must be clean for the eggs to survive, which can be a problem as the urban sprawl continues and the frogs natural habitat, wetlands and creeks are slowly being distroyed and polluted.
