Paul was born in central Victoria in 1965 and has been a keen artist for as long as he can remember. He chose art classes over maths and science at high school and went on to study fine art at university.
Paul is known as the 'ecentric bush artist' who lives at Lockwood, just outside Bendigo in Central Victoria, where the surrounding bushland, old farm sheds, and a collection of animals are ideal subjects for his photography and his finely-detailed pencil drawings.
With these Paul carefully creates wonderfully authentic inages which capture the simplicity, humour and sometimes the eccentricity of country life from a bygone era.
Paul is also widely recognised for his prints and drawings, and has won first prize for 'Works on Paper' at the International Biennale Exhibition of Contemporary Art in Florence, Italy.
